Description: A CPD Event for local clinicians, health professionals and associated practitioners working in the field of Women’s Health. This event seeks to create an opportunity for people working locally in Women’s Health to come together, to foster closer professional working links and to learn through professional presentation and interactive discussion around a case study. 

Joanne Penner (MSc PhD), will be talking at the symposium about what Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S) is, how it comes about (the pressures and causes), and how it can then be managed, treated and prevented. Focusing from the perspective of women’s health, both in the general and athletic population. Some valuable take-aways that can be implemented into practice by professionals will be provided, as well as education on the current research and understanding in the literature.

Becca Hull, our Women’s health Physiotherapist, will lead a discussion on pelvic organ prolapse, using case study examples to help aid identifying, screening and measuring prolapse and when to refer. This is the first part of a two part series on the management of pelvic organ prolapse.

Women's Health CPD at SHP: To encourage a forum to share and discuss knowledge and information about Women’s Health and the local, associated services available. To help create an extended, local, multi-professional team who can share support and assist in signposting our clients and patients appropriately.
